(This isn’t really a theory per se, I was just watching Big Bang Theory before and wanted to play off that. It’s late… don’t ask)

So, many people question if Graham and Emma’s kiss can be classified as “True Love’s Kiss”. And I thought I’d give my two cents on the matter.

(FYI it’s pro Emma & Graham) (And yes this is how I spent almost an hour of my Christmas night.) I put it under read more because I wrote quite a bit.

First off it should be noted which kiss is being refered to, the first kiss in the street or the second kiss in the station. Now for the first kiss, do I consider that True love’s kiss? Not exactly. I think for Graham it was, at that moment in time for Emma I don’t think she was quite there just yet. But it should be noted that nobody ever said true love’s kiss with your true love only occurs when you kiss for the first time (For Example: Shrek Forever After, fits that notion.) So don’t count these two out just yet.

People argue that in the first kiss Graham’s flash of memories was simply caused by the fact Emma is the only one who can break the spell on the town, which may be partially true for this kiss, so I’m not ruling that option out but that doesn’t mean there weren’t other factors involved. Graham’s partial returning memories after the first kiss could also be explained by the fact that since Emma’s feeling for Graham weren’t fully recongnized yet that the kiss only weakened the spell on him but did not break it.

So what’s the difference between the first kiss and the second kiss you might ask? Well in the first kiss when Graham kisses her, though Emma doesn’t exactly resist the kiss, it’s a little bit more one sided. While in the second kiss Emma is the one that intiates it, along with the fact that Emma has finally dropped her walls now and has allowed herself to actually feel for Graham on a deeper level because of that. Which puts the second kiss in an different catergory.

But those fixated on the first kiss are missing the main point, that it’s actually the second kiss that is True Love’s Kiss, and here’s why. Now Emma is only suppose to break the curse on the town, she otherwise has no more influence on any other spell or magic then anyone else does. So when Emma and Graham kiss for the second time two major things happen. First is that Graham’s memories are, fully restored to him. The second major thing and probably the biggest factor of all is that Graham manages to shed a tear. Now we learned earlier in this episode when Graham lost his heart he also lost his ability to feel as well. So then why would a man who can not feel anything emotionally be able to cry?

Some people might say “It’s because his heart was taken out of the box.” Alright, but he still doesn’t have it back though does he? The box was just a container to hold it, the box itself didn’t have powers that prevented him from feeling anything. If that was the case they would have returned the instant the box opened. So whether the heart was in the box or out of it didn’t effect his ability to feel.

So what else does this leave us then? Well all of these things occured after the kiss, which means that it was indeed the kiss itself that was the source. What happened with Graham’s heart is not linked to the spell on the town so Emma should not be able to effect that in the way she does because she is the hope. Unless, it was true loves kiss. For only true love’s kiss could make a man with no heart have the ability to feel again.

So in short Emma and Graham’s second kiss beyond a doubt was True Love’s Kiss, in my opinion of course.
